Modern Slavery Policy

Ryoss is unequivocally committed to eradicating any form of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.

We recognise that modern slavery, including forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, and child exploitation, is a grave violation of human rights and dignity. Our Modern Slavery Policy affirms a zero-tolerance approach to such practices, and we take proactive steps to ensure that no form of modern slavery is present anywhere in our business or in the businesses of those who work with us.

Commitment and Scope

This policy applies to all Ryoss entities globally, every employee and contractor, and all suppliers, partners, or agents who do business with us. We are committed to ethical operations and strict labour standards, and we expect the same from our business partners.

Even in countries or industries where regulations may be less stringent, Ryoss holds itself to high international standards. We comply with the requirements of laws such as Australia's Modern Slavery Act and similar legislation, and even where not legally required we align with their principles out of a moral imperative.

In Southeast Asia, where some of our largest operations exist, we are especially vigilant. We recognise our responsibility to ensure that our presence in the region benefits local workers and communities, never exploits them. Any hint of coercion, exploitation, or abuse is addressed with utmost urgency.

Zero Tolerance and Due Diligence

Ryoss maintains robust procedures to prevent, detect, and address modern slavery risks. We conduct due diligence on new suppliers and clients, particularly those in industries or regions with higher risk, to verify their compliance with labour laws and ethical standards.

Our contracts include clauses requiring suppliers to warrant that they do not engage in any form of modern slavery or human trafficking. We will terminate relationships with any supplier or partner found to be in violation of this policy.

Internally, we also ensure our own hiring and employment practices are scrupulous and that all Ryoss staff are employed of their own free will with transparent contracts, and we never charge recruitment fees that could create debt bondage. We do not employ underage workers, and we ensure working hours and conditions are in line with international labour standards.

Training and Awareness

We believe that awareness is a key tool in combating modern slavery. Ryoss provides training to our management and staff about the signs of modern slavery and how to respond if they suspect it.

All employees and representatives of Ryoss are responsible for remaining alert to potential indicators of modern slavery and must avoid any activities that could be complicit in such practices. We regularly share guidance on ethical sourcing and remind our procurement teams of the importance of enforcing this policy.

Reporting and Enforcement

We foster an environment where employees, contractors, or even external parties can report concerns about possible modern slavery without fear of retaliation. If any person suspects that modern slavery is occurring in any part of our operations or supply chain, we urge them to speak up immediately.

Ryoss will investigate all reports swiftly and thoroughly. We encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith, and we strictly prohibit retaliation against whistleblowers.

If a case of modern slavery is identified, Ryoss will take immediate action: this may include working with authorities, supporting affected individuals, and reviewing our processes to prevent any recurrence. Any Ryoss employee found to have knowingly engaged in or turned a blind eye to modern slavery practices will face severe disciplinary action, including termination.

Why This Matters

We will not tolerate any abuse of human rights in the pursuit of business. Instead, we strive to ensure that our growth and the growth of our clients never come at the cost of the most vulnerable. Our success will always be built on foundations of fairness, legality, and humanity.

Ryoss's Modern Slavery Policy reflects our fundamental belief in human dignity and freedom. We commit to continuous improvement in our practices, regularly reviewing our supply chains, staying updated on risk factors, and cooperating with industry initiatives to strengthen prevention.
